There are some great theme parks in Europe including Disney Paris, Efteling, Alton Towers, and Europa. However, there will soon be another competitor in the market. Currently named, The London Resort(formerly called Paramount Park), this new part will open in Dartford Kent. Originally planned to open in 2019, significant delays caused the date to be pushed back until 2024.
In an order to push through it’s construction, the park was given a ‘nationally significant’ status which means planning applications could move directly to the secretary of state instead of being bogged down in local bureaucracy.
It’s expected that this new park could bring in 50,000 visitors every day. It will be host to a wide variety of rides, attractions, restaurants, and experiences. Additional hotel, cinema’s, and nightclubs will also surround the park
With the park only a 17 minute train ride from London’s St Pancras station, it will definitely be a hot spot for get a way trips on the weekends!
We’re hoping that ground begins breaking soon on this project before another setback occurs. A new theme park is always an excellent thing because it inspires other theme parks to up their game and bring guests the best attractions!
