The summer is about to arrive, and Dollywood is gassing up the car to take us on a Summer Road Trip!
The 2022 Smoky Mountain Summer Celebration will take place from June 18th – August 7th and Dollywood is bringing its A GAME! The park will be set up to mimic those great summer road trips we all remember from childhood!
Guests will notice numerous “ROADSIDE ATTRACTIONS” around the park that include fun photo ops with art installations, food, water features, foam parties, and more!
Colorful art installations will be featured throughout including a special summer Dollywood entrance sign, a kite sky, oodles of POOL noodles, and a color spinning top interactive art exhibit in Wildwood Grove!
NEW entertainment this year includes performances by gardeners that randomly appear throughout the day and play music on trash cans to a roaming troupe that literally sings in the rain! Also be sure to check out the retro-tunes show DREAMLAND DRIVE IN in the Pines Theatre in Jukebox Junction and the outdoor stages will come alive with summer inspired music all around the park to create the perfect playlist!
The Gazillion Bubble Show Aurora will make its return for the first time since 2017 in the Celebrity Theatre and will provide a fun time for all ages using the whimsy and magic of bubbles! The show will even receive a new update this year that includes a fantasy segment paying homage to Dolly and the Smoky Mountains.
The Park will also feature special water features for the celebration! This will include a large set of colorful garden hoses in Market Square and a fire hydrant that will randomly spray to cool you off in Jukebox Junction. There will also be a new jumping water station that will provide smaller splashes for those who didn’t bring a change of clothes!
Wilderness pass will even host a foam party experience for all ages!
And for those who like to stay dry a parachute party will be available for kids of all ages to enjoy!
Alright time to talk about the best part of this festival. . .FOOD! A fun food truck park will be available in the adventures in imagination section of the park and offer fun unique treats!
Dollywood will once again offer a special tasting pass for $34.99 plus tax and provide many new and returning favorites to choose from.
Finally, the day will come to an end at park close with a fun dance party and expanded Firework and Drone show titled “SWEET SUMMER NIGHTS”. Sweet Summer Nights will feature larger drones and new scenes added to some of the best summer music!
