Usually wanting to stay away from politics and cut ties with anyone that takes a strong political view that could cost money, Disneyland Paris made a surprising announcement on February 5th. They would be hosting ‘Magical Pride’, the first-ever gay ‘pride’ event.
The event will take place on June 1st this year and will feature a dazzling party scene. The event will kick off Gay Pride month in June. It will include a dance party, light-night access to the amusement park, and a parade.
This is definitely great news as it is the first ever officially organized event. In previous years, Disneyland has played host to some unofficial gay pride events. These often include members meeting up outside the park and walking inside, or meeting at certain areas of the park for photo opportunities.
